Sarah Bryant is a Maine based wildlife, outdoor, and adventure photographer and conservationist.

It started with a fox family. They lived in wildlife refuge a few miles away from our recently just moved into east coast townhouse and I was going to be obsessed with watching them grow up that spring. Depression had been getting worse the farther I got from my Pacific Northwest hometown and my choices thus far had made my life seem pointless. So, for my 23rd birthday, I researched the camera and lens used to film ‘Planet Earth’ and brought home that exact Sony model. I spent countless hours photographing those kits. Their mother would even leave me alone with them while she ran off to hunt for a meal. My worries and fears disappeared in those hours alone with them and I was so happy being allow in these foxes’s little world. I knew from that moment on that I would be a wildlife photographer for the rest of my life.

Since then, I’ve put the aviation industry I was previously employed in behind me (I miss the flying part a lot though) and have worked towards a life dedicated to animals and nature. when I am not traveling for a shoot or researching an animal, I work as a stable hand for a private barn close to Portland, Maine. Training horses and getting more involved with livestock and poultry has also slowly been influencing my work as I learn more about farming’s importance to conservation and preservation of our land.

As a photographer, I bring my expertise and experience to a wide range of photographic genres. While my background lies in Wildlife and Outdoor photography, I try to approach every subject with the same dedication. My skills include Adventure, Landscape, Documentary, Exterior & Interior, Product, and Portraits. I also am working towards becoming a better filmmaker and honing in on some video editing skills.

I feel so blessed to be able to spend a significant portion of my work and life surrounded by animals and the outdoors. I still find myself awestruck by what I get to do everyday and I will forever be grateful to do what I never thought I could.
